Naughty Robots

I thought this was quite interesting . . BetterHumans.com to know that scientists have now created Robots that can reproduce themselves. Soon robot's will be building other robots to destroy the "Human Virus". Have you people seen "The Matrix"! Scary stuff. The implications of this are brilliant, especially when you consider the impact it would have on Nanotechnology. Microscopic little robots that can build each other and replicate, assemble, disassemble, very Star Trek-ish. NanoRobots, one day removing cancer, assempling cells one at a time. It might be possible?

On another Sci Fi note . . I failed to make it to see Star Wars. I'm not bitter about it either. (I'm tired, that's probably the reason).

Glenn, use the Force

Alright, I know i talked about "the guy instinct" yesterday, but today I really should have listend to my advice. I let my brother and his girlfriend take care of the whole "I'll get the ticket's" deal for the premier of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Unfortunately I failed to trust my very own "Force" within me. My gut instinct told me, to react and get those tickets, schedule ahead. I really am not a control freak, I think Ronald Reagan said it best, "Trust, yet verify"! ?

I do confide in people, and trust them whole heartedly to do something. I have had to take many bets on people, either in my work-life, or personal relationships, and I feel I am rather optomistic, when most may say that I am naive for giving in. Do you trust others to get the Job done, or has there been times when you knew you had to just trust "your gut"?

Now about trust, and relationships . . .and expecially for you you "Networking Moguls". I've been reading alot of Keith Ferrazzi's Blog: Never Eat Alone, great stuff! It's based on his new book as well, with the same title. (Another book i have to read) BUSY!

So I just checked on-line, and well, all the showtimes seem to be sold out. I didn't realize there were that many Star Wars fanatics in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre metro. It's a good thing that I work on the "Montage mountain" right next to the Cinemark. I'm goin to negotiate my way into getting tickets . . I bet there are already scalpers!!

Until next time, "May the Force be with you!"

Your GUT. . .

No . . . I'n not talking about that "spare tire" Not that thing which was the target of last year's resolution . .

This entry made me think of Malcom Gladwell's new book BLINK, which I'm still trying to finish . . . (very busy)

Let me know what you think . . .

Here is an interesting piece from the fellas at Fast Company , compliments of Doug Sundheim . . .

"You've got to learn your instrument. Then, you practice, practice, practice. And then, when you finally get up there on the bandstand, forget all that and just wail." -- Charlie Parker (1920-1955) Jazz musician

Greatness isn't calculated and it's never by the book. It's born from the moments when - after studying the book - you put it down and let your instincts take over. The moments when you stop thinking, trust what's in your bones, and let loose.
